Applications are invited for the 2026 Glenn Murcutt International Masterclass 9-19 July 2026

As an architect, seeking professional mentorship becomes more and more difficult as one moves beyond one’s own academic training. The Murcutt Masterclass is a rare and invaluable opportunity to find such mentorship and fraternity. The experience will exceed your expectations and give you a rare and indelible opportunity to participate in something truly remarkable. Glenn Murcutt, Brit Andresen, Richard Leplastrier, Peter Stutchbury and Lindsay Johnston provide you a rare glimpse into the meaning, power and necessity for architecture. This truly is a rare experience, which will forever shape you as an architect.

Since 2003, the Glenn Murcutt International Masterclass has brought together architects from around Australia and the world for a unique immersive, residential experience led by four recipients of the Australian Institute of Architects Gold Medal; Glenn Murcutt AO, Rick Leplastrier AO, Peter Stutchbury and Brit Andresen. Over the past 20+ years, the Murcutt Masterclass has fostered an alumni of more than 800 architects working in over 80 countries; all share a set of values derived from a responsibility to the land and a meaningful connection to place.

In 2024, we welcomed 36 participants from Australia, India, the US, New Zealand, France, the UAE and more to a rural site in Tocal, NSW. In 2026, the Murcutt Masterclass returns at a new venue on the remarkable Hawkesbury River - known locally as Deerubin or Dyarubbin, signifying "wide, deep water" and reflecting its deep cultural, spiritual, and historical significance to the Dharug and Darkinjung people.
The Murcutt Masterclass will be held 9-19 July 2026.
