Inaugural Murcutt Symposium professional development hub

Glenn Murcutt has often shared - when clients were hard to find in the early years of practice - how he would allocate time to researching materials and details to build a ‘library’ of preferred approaches as a sound foundation. After more than 55 years of practice, continual development of his ideas still drive him forward.

That’s why we’ve worked hard to ensure the inaugural Murcutt Symposium can also help architects build on their own knowledge in very practical ways.

Welcome to the Murcutt Symposium professional development hub for architects who want to record professional development from the sessions offered on Saturday 13 September.

We know requirements vary across Australia and the world. We’ve based the following on the National Competency for Architects, published by the Architects Accreditation Council of Australia - the roadmap that is common to all States and Territories in Australia, and the basis for recording professional development wherever you come from.

Of course, responsibility for recording your own professional development is entirely up to you.

We’ve designed the programme to give 3 hours informal CPD and 3 hours Formal CPD. To record these hours, follow these easy steps:

  1. Download our CPD Pack to bring with you on the day.

  2. Complete the structured task, and keep your own notes and sketches.

  3. Scan it all and send to hello@murcuttfoundation.org to receive a certificate to verify completion of the task.
